there are cheaper ways to build 75 hours
If the lowest possible cost per logged hour of multi-engine time is your only priority, other options may be a better fit. Discovery Flight School built this program for pilots who want the hours AND a structured transition toward professional Part 135 operations.
You still build the time, but you are expected to do more with it.
Primary objective: prepare for professional flight operations
69 hours of structured cross-country crew operations
40+ hours of Part 135 ground school
Defined pilot flying and pilot monitoring roles

Interview preparation and mentorship from Part 135 Captains
Guaranteed interview with Part 135 operator

what happens after training?
Discovery Flight School partners directly with Part 135 operators to connect your training with professional opportunities. Within 90 days of successful program completion, you’ll receive a guaranteed interview with an operator partner—a chance to demonstrate your knowledge, judgment, and professionalism.
We coordinate the interview. You bring the preparation. Employment depends on the operator’s requirements, your qualifications, and your ability to meet the performance and knowledge standards.
The interview opens the door.
What you bring through it still matters.
The guaranteed interview is an opportunity to prove yourself—not a guarantee of employment, a specific operator, or a specific aircraft.
this program is not
for everyone
Different pilots need different things from their training.
The Charter Pilot Transition Program is intentionally built for students who can make flight training a priority and want structure, standards, accountability, and meaningful flight experience—not simply the cheapest time-building option.
Need primarily weekend or occasional training
Want the lowest-cost option to build multi-engine time
Cannot train on a full-time schedule
Prefer highly flexible, unstructured training
Are still unsure whether professional aviation is your goal
probably not the right fit
if you:
Are committed to becoming a professional pilot
Can make training your full-time priority
Want direct feedback and defined standards
Value experience beyond logging hours
Want specialized Part 135 training and operating preparation
A STRONG fit
if you:
Not sure where you fit? That's worth a conversation. Tell us where you are now, what you're working toward, and what you need from your training. We'll help you decide whether Discovery makes sense for you.
