Discovery is built around structured programs, professional standards, significant flight experience, and accountability. Pilots looking primarily for occasional lessons, maximum scheduling flexibility, or the lowest-cost path to minimum certification may be better served somewhere else.
We would rather identify that before you enroll.
-
Because becoming eligible for the next certificate and being prepared for the next cockpit are not necessarily the same thing.
Discovery uses additional flight experience to create more opportunities to plan complete missions, encounter changing conditions, make decisions, receive feedback, and apply what was learned on the next flight.
More hours alone are not the objective. What you do with them is.
The Career Program, for example, deliberately continues beyond certification to 500 total hours and 100 multi-engine hours to open the door to Part 135 opportunities.

No. Successful graduates receive a guaranteed interview with a Part 135 operator within 90 days of program completion—not guaranteed employment.
We provide the training, preparation, and interview opportunity. You must meet the operator’s qualifications and performance standards. Hiring depends on available positions, insurance requirements, and the operator’s assessment.

Your certificates, total time, multi-engine experience, career goals, availability, and funding plan all matter. You do not need to determine the answer yourself before contacting us.
Tell Admissions what you've already accomplished and where you want to go next. If Discovery has a program that fits, we'll explain why. If it doesn't, you should know that too.

The $2,000 reservation deposit is credited toward the total advertised program price and reserves a specific class start date. The reservation deposit is non-refundable.

Nothing requires you to move forward simply because you explored financing.
Qualified applicants can apply through Stratus Financial to see the financing terms available for their individual situation. You are not obligated to accept financing or enroll in a Discovery program simply because you submit an application.
